American Security Drone Act-compliant, CoDrone EDU (JROTC edition) is a drone built for education, competitions, and learning in the classroom.

The CoDrone EDU is a programmable drone, meant for learning in the classroom. Code it in Python or start from the basics with block-based coding. Unique to this drone are its color sensors, a front range sensor, a bottom range sensor, among others—all usable in code. With a durable and safe frame, programmable lights, and access to its 7 sensors, it's an excellent learning too and a great way to learn coding and engineering skills.

What's Included:

Each individual CoDrone EDU (JROTC edition) kit includes:
  • 1 CoDrone EDU (JROTC edition)
  • 1 Smart Controller
  • 2 rechargeable batteries
  • 1 2-battery charger
  • 1 USB-C cable
  • 1 set of extra propellers (2 clockwise, 2 counter-clockwise)

  • 1 Quickstart Guide
  • 1 set of labels for your drone and controller
  • 8 color landing pads

Note: AA batteries not included.

Why does the CoDrone EDU (JROTC edition) cost more than the CoDrone EDU?

The CoDrone EDU (JROTC edition) is identical to the CoDrone EDU standard edition, except some of its internal components are sourced from different providers in order to be compliant with the American Security Drone Act of 2021. Some of these parts are higher in cost, so the price of the JROTC edition ends up being higher. In terms of the specifications and performance, they are identical.

Is the CoDrone EDU (JROTC edition) a better drone than the CoDrone EDU?

No, it's not a superior drone. The specifications between the two drones are identical. The only differences are in the sourcing of certain components inside of the drone for compliance reasons needed by JROTC.
