From ISTE 2025 to Fall: What’s Ahead for CoDrone EDU

It’s already been a month since ISTELive 25, but we’re still flying high from one of the biggest edtech events of the year. We’re channeling that momentum into what’s next for CoDrone EDU and the educators bringing future-ready learning to their classrooms.

At Robolink, we know students aren’t just consumers of technology—they’re the creators, pilots, and pioneers. That mission took off at ISTELive 25, thanks to the incredible energy of our educator community. Here’s what you helped us celebrate and show off—and what’s ready to take flight in your classrooms this school year.

Coffee, Code, and Community

A group of people in a lounge area

We kicked off Tuesday morning with a full house at our Coffee Buzz Meetup, co-hosted with our friends at the REC Foundation. Held at Corinne, the event welcomed hundreds of educators for breakfast, conversation, and exclusive Robolink and RECF swag.

It was an event where Robolink Ambassadors and engineers shared moments and ideas with school and district leaders and classroom teachers. Whether you came for the coffee or the community (or both), this gathering reminded us that the best ideas often start over a shared table.

A Booth Built for Takeoff

At Booth #1010, we showcased what makes CoDrone EDU the drone of choice for classrooms and competitions alike:

  • Hands-on CoDrone EDU flights and a quick coding challenge

  • A first look at our collaboration with Texas Instruments, launching soon

  • Sneak previews of our updated, in-house curriculum

  • Giveaways and classroom-ready swag

We were also joined by Louann Cormier from the REC Foundation and Steve Debauge from Texas Instruments—two of our incredible partners helping bring drone-powered learning to more students nationwide.

Educators in the Spotlight

This year, our educator community didn’t just attend ISTE—they led it. We were so proud to spotlight some of the standout sessions from Robolink ambassadors and team members:

  • Frankie Baker, Robolink Community Manager, brought the house down at the EdTech SmackDown Live!
  • Caitlin Hayes, Robolink Ambassador, explored drones and AI in her hands-on STEM session
  • Jami Shields connected coding to early learning in her Tuesday session
  • Frederick Ballew brought hands-on learning to life in the Future Ready Playground

Each of these sessions reflected what makes our community so powerful: real educators sharing real strategies that spark student engagement and long-term impact.

What’s New for This School Year

This fall, we’re rolling out several exciting updates that were teased at ISTE:

  • TI-Nspire™ x CoDrone EDU Integration
Soon, students will be able to program CoDrone EDU using their TI-Nspire CX II calculators—blending flight with core STEM instruction.

  • New-and-Improved Curriculum Library
Our updated, standards-aligned lessons are going to make teaching and learning with CoDrone EDU easier than ever, with a full student-facing platform, more teacher resources, and interactive engineering notebooks.

And of course, CoDrone EDU remains the official drone of the REC Foundation’s Aerial Drone Competition for the 2025–26 season. Whether you're starting your first drone unit or ready to lead a competition team, we've got the tools, training, and community to support you.

From Conference Floor to Classroom Impact

ISTELive 25 may be behind us, but the work—and the excitement—is just beginning. We left San Antonio inspired by the educators we met, the stories you shared, and the ideas you sparked.

This fall, we’re more committed than ever to helping you bring coding, teamwork, and future-ready skills into your classrooms. Whether you joined us at ISTE or are just discovering CoDrone EDU now—let’s make this school year one where futures take flight.
