Professional Development
Max of 4 participants each session
Get the training you need so that on day 1 of class you can hit the ground running with our kits! We'll teach you everything you need to know to lead a successful class.
Requirements:
- Make sure to schedule with at least 3 business days of notice so that we can properly prepare
- Each session has a maximum of 4 participants. For example, if you want 4 hours of training for 12 participants, it will be split into 3 groups of 4 people. Each group will get 4 hours of training.
- We highly recommend scheduling your PD session after your kits have arrived. You should have unboxed a kit before your first session.
- To ensure quality, our PD does have an expiration date of 1 year. Your first session must be scheduled within the first year from the date of purchase. Ideally, we'd like to train you within a few weeks of when you start using our kits in your classroom.
- Please use a Windows, Mac, or Chromebook laptop
- Make sure you have a webcam and mic
- Check that you have a stable internet connection
- A quiet place to work

Robots are fun, but we know they can also be intimidating for some. We're here to help you feel comfortable using our kits, so that on day 1 of class you can feel confident! We'll teach you everything you need to know to lead a successful class.

PD Courses for CoDrone EDU
- Basics (2 hours)
In this course, we'll help you get everything you need to hit the ground running on day 1.
Unbox the drone with us and learn the ins and outs of all the features and specifications
- Learn tips for powering, pairing, and charging your drones
- Learn the rules for safe piloting, how to pilot the drone, and how to access all the settings on the controller
- Go over how to get started with programming and program your first autonomous flight!
- Know where to find all of our resources, tutorials, and lesson plans.
Basics + Intermediate (4 hours)
This course includes all topics from the Basics course and the following topics:
- How do drones work? Learn the basics of drone mechanics
- Drone applications in the real world and how to incorporate them into the classroom
- Deep dive into each of the 7 sensors and explore with programming examples
Basics + Intermediate + Pro (6 hours)
This course includes all topics from the Basics + Intermediate courses and more:
- Best practices for troubleshooting and maintenance
- How to set up your classroom for a positive drone experience
- Class management techniques
- Be a student! Follow along the first few lessons with a Robolink expert.

Basics (2 hours)
In this course, we'll help you get everything you need to hit the ground running on day 1.
- What is Zumi and what can it do? Learn more about Zumi and how to introduce artificial intelligence to your classroom
- Learn the ins and outs of all the features and specifications
- Building tips and pre-power on checklist
- Zumi WiFi communication and connecting to Zumi
- Overview of Zumi’s web interface
- Know where to find all of our resources, tutorials, and lesson plans.
Basics + Intermediate (4 hours)
This course includes all topics from the Basics course and the following topics:
- Train Zumi to recognize colors and gestures
- Use the Blockly and Python programming interfaces and follow along to write your very first Zumi program!
- Best practices for troubleshooting and maintenance
Basics + Intermediate + Pro (6 hours)
This course includes all topics from the Basics + Intermediate courses and more:
- Class management techniques and activities
- Uploading custom content and libraries
- Be a student! Follow along the first few lessons with a Robolink expert.
